We collect personal information directly from you through meetings, phone calls, emails, client information forms, and our secure client portal. We may also collect information from third parties with your consent, such as from the ATO, your previous accountant, or your financial institution.

We collect, hold, and use your personal information for the following purposes:

  • To provide accounting and taxation services to you.
  • To prepare and lodge tax returns, BAS, and other reports with the ATO and other government bodies.
  • To communicate with you about your affairs.

The privacy of your TFN is specifically protected by the Privacy (Tax File Number) Rule 2015. We will only use or disclose your TFN for a lawful purpose, as permitted by taxation law. We will not use it as a general client identifier and will take all reasonable steps to protect it from misuse.

9. Access to and Correction of Your Personal Information

You have the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you and to request its correction. Please contact us in writing with your request. We will not charge a fee for an access request but may charge a reasonable fee for providing access.

10. Making a Complaint

If you believe we have breached the Australian Privacy Principles, please contact our Privacy Officer in writing with the details of your complaint. We will investigate the complaint and respond to you promptly.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).
